Order of Adjectives

In today's blog I am going to be reiterating rules in regards to how we order adjectives. After you review these rules you will be asked to label what kinds of adjectives are used in my examples. Finally, you will form two sentences in coordination with what we have learned about adjectives.

Vocab:
reiterating- repeating, going over a topic
in regards to- to have a connection with
adjectives-words that describe or modify a noun
review- to go over information once more
form- create
in coordination with- using information that has been given or taught to you

 Adjective rules: 
  • General before specific 
  • Opinion before description 
Specific rules for order of adjectives (typically full proof besides a few exceptions) 

  1. Article (A)
  2. Size (small)
  3. Shape (rectangular) 
  4. Color (black)
  5. Origin (Turkish)
  6. Material (wooden)
  7. Use (dinner)
  8. Noun (table)
Directions: Underneath each adjective label what it is considered (For example the word gigantic would be referring to size)

 Ex: The large circular green Ecuadorian metal serving spoon

Ex: A tiny square turquoise English porcelain doll. 

Activity 2: Form two sentences including adjectives, label what each of your adjectives are considered.

My Busy Week

This week I am going to be busy! On Saturday I am going to attend my friend's wedding . I am beyond excited to a part of the wonderful ceremony . A lot of my friends from my church will be attending as well. There is still a lot I have left to do before Saturday. I still have to purchase my wedding present for the couple. My Amazing Week

This past week at work I had the most amazing opportunity from my work institution ! I was offered a promotion ! This has been a privilege I have been working toward excessively. I was offered a position as a tutor or consultant teacher . My position is just below the title of teacher. My pay will be above what it was, and my hours would be cut from 8:30 to 3:30. My new hours would be from 9:30 to 2:30. This is perfect for me during the semester , as I will now have more hours across the week to work on graduate school assignments. I am feeling as if I am above the clouds. Now time to keep working diligently and hope to be promoted in the future from tutor to general education teacher. God's Exciting Week!

This Sunday morning my church launched it's second campus.  It was a very exhilarating  day, knowing that now we have two separate locations sharing the love of Jesus with individuals. A plethora of exciting things have been happening in our church! This Friday we will be starting up our monthly youth nights, for students in 6th through 12th grade. We are going to be having a live band, a DJ, a photo-booth, free pizza, even a hype man . There will also be a mini sermon  given by our head youth leader at the end of the night. It is going to be a great night of fun and friendship for the students. November has been an exciting month! It is crazy to think that I began attending this church six months ago, and God as really blessed my time here in that six months. This place isn't about a religion but about a relationship with Jesus, and it shows in the work it is doing. I'm excited to see what December, and all the months to follow, have to bring.
