My Amazing Week

This past week at work I had the most amazing opportunity from my work institution! I was offered a promotion! This has been a privilege I have been working toward excessively. I was offered a position as a tutor or consultant teacher. My position is just below the title of teacher. My pay will be above what it was, and my hours would be cut from 8:30 to 3:30. My new hours would be from 9:30 to 2:30. This is perfect for me during the semester, as I will now have more hours across the week to work on graduate school assignments. I am feeling as if I am above the clouds. Now time to keep working diligently and hope to be promoted in the future from tutor to general education teacher. I am so thankful to God for blessing me with this new opportunity!

Vocabulary:
work institution- your job, a place where you work.
promotion- A higher position at work. For example, an assistant manager may be promoted to full manager.
privilege- a reward
position- job
tutor/ consultant teacher- someone who works in the classroom with the head teacher and students.
semester- half a school year for college students. Two semesters in length = one year of elementary school.
graduate school- college
diligently- your best work, working hard for a longer period of time.

    Wow congratulations on your promotion! Sometimes we need something like a promotion to allow us to continue to achieve greatness. Being recognized is a great feeling, and when you are recognized with a promotion and raise it is a great accomplishment. Great vocabulary list, it is challenging and necessary for an ELL to understand. Great post!

This week I am going to be busy! On Saturday I am going to attend my friend's wedding . I am beyond excited to a part of the wonderful ceremony . My Monday Morning

Every weekday morning at eight o'clock I wake up. I work for a school as a class size reduction tutor. I do not have to go into work until ten fifteen in the morning. Sometimes I consider eating my breakfast as more of a brunch , since I have work so late into the morning. As I ventured to get ready for the day, I put on my blue button downed portfolio shirt and dress pants. I went into my drawer and grabbed my brush. I brushed my hair and afterwards I put toothpaste onto my toothbrush to brush my teeth. I put my tea cup underneath my coffee making machine (which I can use to make hot water for my tea). I sipped on my cup of tea and enjoyed the taste of caffeine .  As I walked into my car, I knew today would be a great day! Vocabulary: class sized reduction tutor- a teacher who stays in the classroom with the head teacher because there are more than 27 students in the class. brunch- a breakfast meal you can eat later in the morning but before it would be considered lunchtime.

God's Exciting Week!

This Sunday morning my church launched it's second campus.  It was a very exhilarating  day, knowing that now we have two separate locations sharing the love of Jesus with individuals. A plethora of exciting things have been happening in our church! This Friday we will be starting up our monthly youth nights, for students in 6th through 12th grade. We are going to be having a live band, a DJ, a photo-booth, free pizza, even a hype man . There will also be a mini sermon  given by our head youth leader at the end of the night. It is going to be a great night of fun and friendship for the students. November has been an exciting month! It is crazy to think that I began attending this church six months ago, and God as really blessed my time here in that six months. This place isn't about a religion but about a relationship with Jesus, and it shows in the work it is doing. I'm excited to see what December, and all the months to follow, have to bring.
